Pro-NM PETsensi
The PET sensitivity phantom is used to measure the sensitivity or ability of positron emission tomographs to detect positrons. The phantom used for this purpose is a set of five metal tubes with a similar wall thickness. A plastic tube homogeneously filled with 18F liquid is inserted for the measurement. Successive measurements are made by accumulating the sleeve wall thickness with the uniform line source surrounded by known absorbers. From these measurements, the sensitivity without absorbers can be extrapolated to arrive at an attenuation free measurement. The measurement setup, data collection and analysis are described in section 5 of the NEMA standard NU 2-2007.

The system attaches directly to the original Linac couch top, making setup fast and straightforward. VMAT-TBI techniques typically require patients to be repositioned due to the Linac’s limited cranial-caudal couch shift range. With TBI STEP, patient rotation becomes effortless, allowing clinicians to use standard positioning devices while achieving consistent, reproducible alignment and optimal dose delivery across the full treatment volume.

This stability (agar) phantom consists of a cylindrical phantom and agar material inside. Using this phantom a Signal to Noise Ratio, Signal Fluctuation to Noise Ratio, drift, and other imaging measures over a 100-volume or 200-volume fMRI scan can be performed. This device readily indicates a 1% or 2% misalignment at a 1 m focal-film distance (FFD), but it can be used at any FFD. The PET sensitivity phantom is used to measure the sensitivity or ability of positron emission tomographs to detect positrons. The phantom used for this purpose is a set of five metal tubes with a similar wall thickness. A plastic tube homogeneously filled with 18F liquid is inserted for the measurement. Successive measurements are made by accumulating the sleeve wall thickness with the uniform line source surrounded by known absorbers. From these measurements, the sensitivity without absorbers can be extrapolated to arrive at an attenuation free measurement. The TBI STEP system is a rotatable tabletop designed for Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) in Total Body Irradiation (TBI). It allows clinicians to overcome the limitations of standard linear accelerator couch shifts by enabling a seamless 180° rotation of the patient—from head-first supine (HFS) to feet-first supine (FFS)—within seconds and without the need for patient repositioning. The rotatable tabletop consists completely of carbon fiber, including the ball bearing within the base plate of the rotation unit. The system attaches directly to the original Linac couch top, making setup fast and straightforward. VMAT-TBI techniques typically require patients to be repositioned due to the Linac’s limited cranial-caudal couch shift range. With TBI STEP, patient rotation becomes effortless, allowing clinicians to use standard positioning devices while achieving consistent, reproducible alignment and optimal dose delivery across the full treatment volume.
